I've been crawling through the rebuild, but I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I sent my oil pump to a guy in Chicago for an inspection, and he gave me the ok to run it. He builds oil pumps for Alfa racers and actually remanufactures pistons for the pressure regulation valves.
I just need to time this thing and tie up some loose ends. I'll have a full write-up (with photos) once I'm done with the rebuild. Man, do I ever want to hear this thing run.
Meanwhile, my brother is running around in his 164Q that he got last week. Once I'm done with this 12V rebuild, I have a 24V to tend to. I'm thinking that I might just swap a running engine over and rebuild that thing on the side.
